Absolutely not! Most of our members have never set foot on stage before.

At Jome, we believe Improv is a crucial part of being in other more scripted performances. Live Theatre is an unpredictable beast where anything can happen! Having some basic improv skills helps us to go with the flow on stage.

We don’t hold auditions! Passion and willingness to participate are way more important to us. We will give everyone a go!

We are an amateur theater group who enjoy getting onstage or being involved in the many aspects of putting on a production. Our experience is what we offer and your willingness to try new things and be a part of something fun and exciting. Though not professional as such, joining our club will teach you invaluable lessons about yourself, working with other people and being onstage.

Just yourself, maybe a water bottle and the courage to try something new and exciting.

The first night consists of us getting to know you and giving you an understanding of Jome and what we are about.

Jome has been running for over 10 years!

We hold Free Trial’s (which generally run for 4 weeks) twice a year, however once you have been to one you will need to sign up to attend again.

We have hundreds of members through our club, some stay for a few months, others have been with us since the beginning - over ten years! Currently we have over 80 active members.

Sure! There is a place for even the shyest person at Jome. You only need to participate at a level you are comfortable with.

At Jome club we’re all about welcoming anyone and everyone to come down and give it a go. However, we have chosen to make our focus adults and some shows do contain adult themes and so club membership is limited to over 18s.

Of course! Jome club is primarily a social club and a great place to meet people and make new friends. We do lots of amazing events every year including new members cocktail parties and bi-annual awards nights. As a member of Jome your social calendar will be fuller than ever!
